Planner 5D WebMCP

Planner 5D WebMCP will let AI agents use supported Planner 5D tools while the website and your current project are open in the browser.

There is no separate MCP server to install. The Planner 5D page exposes selected actions to a compatible browser agent and reuses the website’s existing interface, project context, and signed-in session.

Ask for a floor plan, furniture changes, new materials, or a render in plain language. Review the result on the page and continue editing the same project in 2D or 3D.

What you can do

Convert image into 2D/3D project. Upload your floor plan and quickly generate a 2D/3D plan. Edit it in any way you like.

Start a room from a prompt. Describe the room, its purpose, constraints, and preferred style. The agent can turn the brief into a structured Planner 5D project.

Redesign an existing space. Open a project or upload a plan, then ask for a different style, a clearer layout, or a new use for the room.

Find and place furniture. Search the Planner 5D catalog, add items, and position them according to the room layout and your instructions.

Edit the scene in plain language. Move, rotate, replace, or remove objects without searching through editor controls.

Change materials and finishes. Update supported colors, textures, flooring, walls, furniture finishes, and other surfaces.

Create functional zones. Organize rooms around real needs such as working, dining, storage, circulation, or relaxation.

Generate a visual preview. Request a render of the complete room or a selected part of the 3D scene.

Tools available through WebMCP

Project context: read the rooms, objects, dimensions, and structure of the project currently open on the page.

Floor plan import: turn an uploaded floor plan image into an editable 2D and 3D project.

Floor plans: create layouts and organize rooms into functional zones.

Catalog search: find furniture and decor by name, category, or description.

Scene editing: add, move, rotate, replace, and remove supported objects.

Smart Materials: change colors, textures, and finishes on supported surfaces.

Room redesign: generate alternative layouts or visual directions for an existing space.

Rendering: generate a preview of a room or a selected part of the 3D scene.

How to use WebMCP

Compatibility details are not yet available. The supported browser, browser agent, release version, and enablement steps have not been confirmed in the source material used for this page.

Open Planner 5D

  1. Open Planner 5D in Supported Chromium-based browser. Exact version and availability will be confirmed at launch..
  2. Sign in to your Planner 5D account.
  3. Open the project you want to edit, or go to the confirmed floor plan import page.
  4. Keep the Planner 5D tab open. WebMCP tools are provided by the active web page rather than by a separately installed server.

Start the browser agent

  1. Open A WebMCP-aware browser agent (availability to be confirmed). while the Planner 5D page is available to it.
  2. Confirm that the agent can see the tools offered by the current Planner 5D page.
  3. Start with a read-only request: “Describe the rooms and objects in this project.”
  4. Review the response, then try a write action such as adding or moving a test object.

Create a project from a floor plan

  1. Open the confirmed Planner 5D floor plan import page.
  2. Upload a clear JPG, PNG, or PDF if those formats are supported.
  3. Ask: “Convert this floor plan into an editable 2D and 3D project.”
  4. Review the recognized walls, rooms, doors, windows, and dimensions.
  5. Correct anything necessary and continue editing in Planner 5D.

The Planner 5D team needs to confirm supported browsers and agents, minimum versions, whether a browser flag or preview program is required, the exact pages that register tools, final tool names, supported upload formats, account permissions, write-action confirmations, and the official compatibility-check method.

How it works

1. Open the right page. Planner 5D registers WebMCP tools that are relevant to the current page and project.

2. Describe the result. Tell the browser agent what you want to create or change.

3. Review the action. The browser mediates the tool call and the Planner 5D page runs the corresponding application logic.

4. Keep designing. The result stays in the same Planner 5D workflow for further 2D and 3D editing.

WebMCP and classic MCP

A classic MCP integration connects an AI client to a separate local or remote server. WebMCP lets an open web page provide its own JavaScript-based tools to a browser agent. It normally uses the page’s current state and web session, so there is no server URL to add to Codex, Claude, Cursor, or another MCP client.

WebMCP does not require the browser to use the MCP wire protocol internally. A browser may expose the page tools through MCP, function calling, or another supported agent interface.

What WebMCP does not replace

WebMCP provides a structured way for an agent to use supported actions on the Planner 5D website. It does not replace the full editor, guarantee that every catalog item or surface can be modified, or remove the need to review uploads and project changes.
